Yes, it is possible to learn how to make a solar panel for your house. I was skeptical with all these claims about making your own energy, and I even bought several products.

Most didn’t live up to the hype but there was one guide that really surprised me. I was skeptical about it at first, mainly because of my experience with the other guides, but one stood out to me and showed me exactly how to make a solar panel.

Here’s the website: http://www.diyenergyguide.com

You can make up your own mind, but before paying a penny to any site for a guide, I suggest reading this page http://www.nlcpr.com/Deceptions6.php . This is a critique of these solar panel sites in general. The author there is not selling anything, so I have to ask myself, who is telling the truth, the one who wants to sell you something, or the one who has nothing to gain?

The site http://www.mdpub.com/SolarPanel/ is legitimate. The way to tell is that the person puts all the information out there free, without asking anyone to pay. But take a good look at the cost breakdowns. Building this homemade panel costed less than a commercial panel several years ago, but now, it’s cheaper to simply buy a panel off the shelf. Yes, prices have come down that much. And if you want to save on energy costs, a system with homemade panels is going to cost more than a commercially-made one, because the authorities won’t let you connect a homemade panel to the grid. That would force you to buy batteries and maintain them, doubling the cost.

Don’t get me wrong – I love solar, and we have panels on our roof. I just don’t want to see you ripped off or disappointed.
