Solar Products: Any Good Ideas For A New Solar Powered Product? (4/26/2011)

Basically it would use solar energy to perform hydrolysis.
[I may be confusing the term, I believe its hydrolysis, it may be reverse hydrolysis. Basically separating the H+ ions from water.]
2H20 + energy -> 4H2 + 02

And in your homework, you can talk about how getting the energy for this through solar energy is better than getting it from a power plant, and compare the amount of CO2 would be released from a coal power plant to power such a device and compare it to the “completely eco-friendly” alternative of solar energy.
