Systems of that size are made by combining MANY panels.

roderick_young August 17, 2011 at 7:56 pm: If you’re serious about installing solar, you should contact a professional installer. They will propose a system based on your usage and objectives. 250 kW is far larger than you will need.

But to answer directly, 250 kW is about 1/3 the size of the system put in at my son’s High School. I would estimate the installed cost was about $ 1 million (US).
