I can’t find what the cost to actually buy all of the materials to make a solar panel. I need to know for a school project.

It is unknown of the cost of the materials and proper manufacturing.
You can buy them cheaply depending on how little power they make.
I assume you mean a solar electric panel, as opposed to the kind that heats water.
The cost depends on the size.
If you are asking what it costs a manufacturer to make a panel, thin film producers like First solar have costs supposedly of 75 cents per watt or so. So a 200-watt panel would cost them $ 150 to make. Crystalline silicon panels cost perhaps $ 1.15 per watt to make, so a 200-watt panel would cost $ 230. The crystalline panel is smaller for the same power rating, and is in fact what goes into most residential and commercial projects. That doesn’t mean you can buy a panel at those prices. There has to be a charge for distribution, and profit for the company.
For making your own panel, you would buy individual solar cells and string them together. This is not as simple as it seems, although there are scam sites that claim it is. This person http://www.mdpub.com/solar/index.html gives a line-by-line accounting of the price for his 60-watt panel. Some of his parts were free, like he just happened to have plywood lying around, so your cost might be more.
Also be aware that you can just buy a ready-made solar panel for less than it costs to make one today. Just look for solar laminate at sunelec.com .
