I don’t believe it is a hoax, however, I also believe it is a natural occurance that is proved by this planet warming and melting the ice, and then reversering and creating the ice. Fact ! It is called the natural cycle of the planet
Ok, first you have to learn the meaning of “hoax.” You can argue that the theory is wrong, but it is not a hoax. A hoax would imply that tens of thousands of scientists have conspired to play a trick on the rest of the world. That is nonsense, these scientists believe what they are doing and are not trying to trick anybody.
It would be much easier to believe that a few right-wing talk show hosts or the oil companies are playing a hoax on people like you. At least it would not involve a conspiracy of tens of thousands.
I agree completely this is a big hoax and sadly many are falling for it. A good book to check out is “Green Hell” by Steve Milloy, it documents some of the things the environmentalists would like to accomplish.
I don’t think you can win. It is like betting alien abductions are hoaxed. It is tough to prove it and those abductees will always insist they really were probed. I don’t really know if the word hoax is quite right. I would prefer to call it an exaggeration.
It absolutely is a hoax you environmental idiots! Here is a few points to prove you melonheads wrong.
1. Sea ice in the Antarctic has rapidly increased in the past year, while yes, in the north it has melted a little, seems like a balanced cycle doesn’t it?
2. Al Gore made an “An Inconvenient LIE” to make money.
3. Al Gore said there would be hurricanes like Katrina stronger and wetter after 2005 after an Inconvenient LIE was created, hurricane activity slowed once again post-2005.
4. I am now looking at a 2000 year consensus of global and atmospheric temperatures, they are OFFICIAL, in truth, if you evened out the summer/winter spikes, you see a wavy motion. In 1922, the earth was in TOTAL about .8 Celsius hotter than today. There were cycles VERY VERY often, do you people know during the Triassic period there was NO sea ice, do you think the dinosaurs polluted the environment.
5. The global temperature trend line for the lower troposphere was on the rise to a WHOLE .2 above average around 2004-2005, than, LIKE A CYCLE, it went down again and now in 2009, is actually starting to go below average.
6. In this economy, making carbon emission standards and all the rest of it would DEVASTATE this economy, you cannot want to destroy a coal industry that feeds part of the state of Pennsylvania and West Virginia because it lets out some “harmful” emissions. You people will close factories and destroy jobs if you get your way by this lie.

I don’t believe in man causing too much of the increase in temperature, but climate change is real. The planet’s climate has varied (changed) throughout it’s history. So it is a bet that you will lose. But whether it is man’s fault, that is where I have little belief. I used to believe it, but I researched and became very skeptical. I believe there are too many holes in the theory of CO2 causing this slight warming.
Man can have an effect on the climate, via deforestation, reforestation, buildings, dams, etc. But I will bet that man’s input of CO2 into the atmosphere has very little effect, practically none.
