This is only my opinion but, geothermal energy comes from heat that is created inside the earth and is much more reliable than solar. The earth is always creating more heat and so geothermal energy is not reliant on the sun like solar energy is.
Yes for those who have access to it. It is more reliable than solar or wind. It can be used for 100% of energy production, because it doesn’t disappear when the earth rotates or when the weather changes. However, it is only practical in some locations. If you don’t live in an area with geysers or volcanic activity you won’t be able to take advantage of it.
