Lets look at one acre of land.

Look at how much energy one acre of coal will make.
Look at how much energy one acre of oil will make.
Look at how much energy one acre of uranium will make.
Long after the coal is shoveled, the oil runs dry, the nukes stop glowing, the sun will still be shinning on your one acre.
Over the corse of time, solar will make more power than ALL other power sources.

fossil fuels non renewable once there are used up there is no more, burning of them causes huge amounts of pollution
Solar energy free to all the sun as of yet is available to all people limited time to gather the solar energy (day time) if it is cloudy, and short days (winter) can make it unreliable, can be used is conjunction with wind turbines to supplement electricity to charge batteries to hold/store the energy
