Technology can reduce the cost of solar cells – currently they are looking at printing solar cells like with a bubble jet printer and one day printing solar cells like they print money.
Economy can affect affect the level of research into solar products. Things like the cost of batteries and the cost of oil also.
Government rebates and pricing and things like carbon credits and carbon trading can encourage people into solar by making it more economical
