That’s a fair price for a 200-watt panel. If you shop, you could probably do a little better. For example, at http://sunelec.com/ there is

SUN-A-210-FA3 210 Watt, 11.48 Imp, 18.30 Vmp $ 382.20

But remember that this is a power rating and not an energy rating. That is, the panel generates 200 watts under ideal conditions instantaneously, not per day. To get energy per day, you multiply by the number of sun-hours that a location gets. For example, most of California gets an average of at least 5 hours sun per day. So 5 hours/day x 200 watts = 1000 watt hours/day, or 1 kWh per day (about 10-15 cents worth of electricity).

That sounds right for one at 200 watts, but that is not sepecified for how long. Generally, it is assumed, since watts over time is watthour. Since you want watt-day, you need one 1/8th the capacity (assuming 8 hours/day producable sunlight).

I will say, I have a 15 watt panel, and on a good day it can produce around a 100 Wattday (which barely covers my typical usage). The panel I have sells for around $ 130 to $ 150 retail. To get 100 Wattday guaranteed, you should double that maybe.
I plan on adding a 15 or 20 watt panel this fall sometime to get that guaranteed.

Prices and efficieny will vary by location.

$ 100 – $ 175. To make 200w per day you need a 40 watt solar module with 5 hours of sun (about the average). If you search for 40 watt solar modules they vary in price from $ 100 used to about $ 175 new.
