Last August was the first month in nearly a century in which the sun was completely devoid of sunspots, an indicator of solar activity. While the earth’s temperature charts nicely with the solar cycles over time, it correlates not at all with rising CO2 levels. In fact, the earth has been cooling even as these levels rise, and the earth is no warmer than it was in 1979.
This whole “krap and tax” bill is not about climate change, is it?
…China & India are refusing to participate in the Copenhagen meetings in December. Without participation from China and India, anything we do here at home would impose burdensome costs on consumers in the form of higher electricity, gas and food prices, all for no climate gain.
So… how will my diminishing CO2 level in my rural town have any significance at all globally… except to cut the CO2 needed for vegetation in my area!

It’s all political spin for those who dislike capitalism.
Heavy polution defleck sunlight while heave co2 ‘lution traps

AGW might be a way to warm Americans up to the fact that they won’t be able to consume energy long into the future the way they do now. Spiking demand in these other countries, like India and China for example, and several others, will push us past Peak Oil. Supply will not be able to keep up with demand enough to keep oil cheap as developing countries work to function economically the way the U.S. has for the last half-century plus. So even if the climate isn’t going to bring about an apocalypse, our civilization could still collapse because we have too many people demanding too few resources.
“except to cut the CO2 needed for vegetation in my area!”
Vegetation does not need your CO2. It did just fine for many millenia before our additional CO2 contributions.
There is no correlation Shanghai is a real city and Climate Change is a myth.
Sulphate & other small particles are emitted in great quantities over Asia by urban pollution in places like Shanghai, and the pollutants change the composition of clouds, making them longer-lasting and brighter. The clouds then reflect more sunlight and cool the ground.
As a result of this, the tropical rainbelt in the northern hemisphere was weakened and shifted south, depriving the border of the Sahara around Sahel of its much needed rainfall but inundating Australia & other regions. This caused a drought that killed almost a million people. It’s a great example of how pollution in one part of the world throws the whole climate off balance in other regions.
