There are many solar lights out there which are put outside in the sunlight and store the light or the energy of the sun. But how is it converted into light? And why is it that they only work at night? Thanks

idk
Solar lights convert sunlight into electricity during the day. They store the electricity in a rechargeable battery. When the sun stops shining, the electronics in the device switches on the light, which is normally a low-powered LED light. This converts electricity from the battery into light.
