geothermal energy is a very green way to go currently geo thermal energy supports 0.3% of the worlds electricity first I would think about your land scape if it is Very rocky near the surface then it will cost more to drill down to the proper depth for it to be practical. Second consider other alternatives such as solar (I don’t mean those ridiculously expensive solar panels) I mean solar heaters solar and solar water heaters these can sometimes be home made if you have the time. you should also consider calling contractors to see how deep you would half to go it might not even be passable to do this near you.
