Solar Producer: Finally. How Good Is It That Obama Is Paying Attention To Stopping Carbon Emissions? (1/12/2012)

in Solar Producer

He totally went off on the Chinese this morning. Now he needs to go off on US Industry pigs.

Obama was focused on health care. Fine. But now its time to start saving the planet.

Most Americans haven’t heard of cap and trade. It’s simple. The government tells energy producers to stop burning coal and natural gas and use solar and wind power. The replacements of fossil fuel that produce carbon with clean solar and wind. They money saved is by having healthier people breathing less CO2. Most people don’t get this.

Cap and Trade will only cost the average family under $ 1000 a year based on spending. That’s only $ 85 per month extra on electricity and gas. Contact Obama and let him know about this logical solution to saving the planet for our future children.

“Most Americans haven’t heard of cap and trade.”
Do you live under a rock? Everyone has heard of it.

And for your description of what it is you forgot to mention that whole carbon credits (OR whatever they are called) Thing.

You know where we have to buy these imaginary credits off other country’s so we can use fuel.
Call me crazy but I’m not gonna support anything that makes an imaginary currency. It just won’t work.

And Btw, this is something for a BLOG not Y!A.
Get a blog.

The fact that you think, “It’s simple. The government tells energy producers to stop burning coal and natural gas and use solar and wind power,” makes me hope that you do not represent “average college students” and that college students learn more critical thinking then you have demonstrated not only with this question, but in most of what I have seen you post this morning.

Ah….WHAT?!

“Cap and Trade will only cost the average family under $ 1000 a year based on spending. That’s only $ 85 per month extra on electricity and gas. ”

Because when you don’t have a job like approximately 1 out of 5 Americans are at right now, an extra $ 85 per month is easy to pay.

How do we SAVE money by lowering carbon emissions, again?

You just said we have to pay $ 85/month extra in utility bills, why the hell would anyone want to do that during a recession? Unless, of course, you’re being ironic, and I hope to God you are.
