Yes, they use the sun to grow and you cut them down and burn them. I’m serious. They convert the suns energy to wood and you release the energy and convert it towards your own purpose.
You can cut the trees down and burn them to run a steam powered generator… thus using the solar energy stored in the tree.
They don’t make electricity unless they are the fuel in a steam turbine/generator.
