There are not against the other forms of energy, that is probably another silly rumor put out by democrats who have nothing better to do.
Did you see Bush supporting alternative energy?
Besides perhaps ethanol, which is the least efficient.
I guess they could put a windmill up on the white house lawn. As for us though, our vehicles operate on fossil fuels. Get a clue.
They can and will easily promote it.
Be honest with yourself, dear. Our whole nation was happy sucking gas as fast as we could fill up our trucks, when it was cheap. If you think that would change, if the world’s oil supplies were guaranteed for hundreds of years, you’re crazy. We’d be driving bigger, more powerful, more obnoxious trucks than ever. Only environmentalists would promote anything else.
But now that it affects EVERYONE… the tables are turned around. The majority of this country is for cheap POWER. Cheap power in the car, cheap power in the house, cheap heat. WHerever it comes from, as long as it’s cheap, they’ll take it.
But as soon as it’s expensive, other sources look more attractive. You, me, and everyone think so, and yes, dear, even Bush/McCain. Oil is not becoming more plentiful; other sources are becoming more viable.
And money, is waiting to be made in alternative energy sources, dear. Lots and lots of money. Mark my words… where money will be made, people will promote a product.
you have three kids….your housing, food and utility costs come up to roughly 60% of your monthly paycheck.
15% goes to insurance and health related costs.
10% goes to new clothes and entertainment for the kids
8% goes to paying off interest on credit cards and loans
2% (hopefully) goes to savings for the kid’s future.
A guy comes along and says “you’re doing it all wrong!” He promises to sell you a system that will save you tons of money.
Here’s the catch:
It will cost you roughly 18% of your monthly income and may not show any results for ten to fifteen years…if at all.
Now as you consider this offer and determine where you are going to scratch together the money, your kids yell at you and call you a “selfish old bastard” because you’re so resistant to anything new and “green”…..
….how do you respond?
