how many solar cells would i need to charge a 12V battery or to produce enough electricity to start powering some house hold items like a radio or a fan etc.
Specifications:
Solar Cell Type: Multi-Crystalline
Voltage (oc): 0.55V
Amperage (isc): 100mA
Wattage: 0.06W

Typical solar panels for 12V systems have up to over 21V open circuit voltage, so you would need 39 such solar cells.
Of course you need to connect those cells in series, so that the voltage of each cell would be added. In such a case the amperage will still be 100 mA, but your power would be 39×0,06W = 2,34 W. This would be enough to power two 12V computer fans, but not much more. Even the radio might need more power…
To increase the power and amperage, connect sets of 39 cells in parallel, so that the voltage remains the same and only the amperage and power increases.
