First of all what country in Africa are you going to? . Most of the countries have power outlets now and probably only need a universal converter. However if your going to the tribal areas here is were you can buy a solar charger (http://www.siliconsolar.com/) The websight is designed a little slopy but it has everything you need. Although the tribal areas may sometimes have generator power stations.
