In school we are doing a door decorating contest, i know stupid right, but we get a lot if extra credit if we help out. Our topic is Geothermal Energy and we have to decorate the door with anything to represent Geothermal Energy. Normally I have tons of good ideas but this topic is weird and other classes have topics like tidal energy or something and they created a little city in the window and are putting waves to show tidal force or energy rather. please help. thanks! =)

Hi,
Create a panel that represents the earths crust in cross section as if you had taken a slice of cake out of it. The top would be a community, the bottom would be the earths core. Focus on an geographic area with different forms of geothermal heat sources (hot springs, volcanic areas) and then create communities near them using the power/heat to run their lives. Cut out or draw pictures of power stations, homes and factories on the earths surface to illustrate the need to drill down and harvest the heat, distribute it to the homes using pipes or power cables.
You can use everyday items to represent uses for the heat/electricity to make your collage 3 dimensional, energy saving light bulbs for example or vegetables grown in geothermally heated glasshouses.
Have fun!
model ,picture draw A Volcano Erupting into the sky beneath the eruption show the lava flow going through the earths plates, rocks etc. This is Geo thermal power at its finest I watched a history channel of volcanoes in Hawaii. This Volcano Expert walked 30 miles of huge tunnels built by the volcano as it pushed the lava out its side
