A solar battery charger that is small is likely to have low output.
If you have a multimeter, or if you have a friend with one, you can measure the output in voltage and current of your solar charger. If it’s just 10 mA or even 50 mA, it’s just a trickle charger, and will take days or weeks to charge a AA battery.
Do you have any more information on what doesnt work exactly? What type of charger? what happens when you try to use it?
I’ve fixed a few chargers in my time, and my current charger works like a treat. If you have a solio, or another type of hybrid solar charger then does it work if you charge it frmo the mains? You may be able to narrow down where the fault is.
If it is indeed a broken charger you have, you may be able to get a replacement if its in warranty or a spare part for it. If you need to buy a new one, i would highly recommend a Solio charger though.
