plastics used are from oil

Probably so, since plastics are made from oil. However, manufacturing the items used to generate power is a one time thing. This is far better than burning fossil fuels on an ongoing basis to generate power.

i concur with answers one and two as far as plastic parts are concerned, but, there are other sources for plastics.

No, they are not manufactured from oil.

But the manufacture uses large amounts of energy at all steps from mining the ores from which the raw materials are made, through refining the ores, making the parts, to final assembly. And the vast majority of that energy is derived from oil.
