Do different frequencies of light change the energy a solar cell produces?
What I mean is, would different colors change the energy? EX: Red, Green, Blue
I assume that certain colors would produce more, so lets say blue produces the most. Would it produce more than white light?
I want to know if putting a semi-transparent colored film over a solar cell will improve it’s efficiency.

Different colors will produce more or less energy but putting a colored film over a photovoltaic cell will reduce the overall energy and the cell output. Solar photovoltaic cells have a bandwidth. Triple junction cells are three cells in one that and have the widest bandwidth. The newest efforts at improving efficiency include increasing the intensity of the light (fresnel lenses and mirrors) and capturing heat energy.
absolutely yes. but you still can produce f you are interested in learning exactly how to generate power and reduce your bill then this is the perfect resource for you! With the ever increasing costs of living, there is no better time than right now to stop throwing money out the window and start generating our own electricity.
