I am looking to go back to school and get into the Solar and Wind energy field.. I have been doing some searching around online and it’s difficult to find proper courses. I am unsure what qualifications you need, what type of certificates are out there, what type of jobs are out there. I would like to start with installation and advance into the more technical side of it into engineering or whatever it’s called in that field.
Anyway, I am a resident of Ontario and wouldn’t mind to travel for school so long as it sounds promising. Preferably finding courses in Ontario, GTA area, would be best.
Can anyone provide some information of where to start? Thanks in advance!

A lot of builders do it as a side business in the state that I was from .
There should be some specialized classes within the vocational school programs due to the crossover between “technically” low voltage and high voltage wiring in such installations. I would think the GTA would be your best place to start looking. There should also be crossover with the HVAC and Plumbing coursework. Considering where Canada is on the acceptance curve of solar and wind power on large scale, there should be plenty of offerings.
Going through the vocational school gives you a piece of paper that people are more apt to accept than any construction laborer who does it on the side.
