I’m building a solar panel and I wanna know what are the best cells to use and why and is there a chart I can view to what’s the cost and what’s the watts it produce this would really help and thanks for the help

On occasion, I’ve seen people selling boxes of solar cells on craigslist, for $ 2 / watt. I just checked now, and didn’t see any. Maybe eBay has some. You can also try these guys http://www.goldmine-elec.com/SolarItems.html at about $ 6/watt. Note that you can buy a ready-made panel for cheaper than making one with $ 6 cells. And the ready-made panel will be weatherproof and warranteed.
I have been studying this question for the last several weeks and finally decided on 3″ x 6″ solar cells from Evergreen which I bought on eBay for $ 79.00 for 36 of them (+2 because they break easily) including the tabbing wire, solder, and other things necessary to construct a solar panel (except for the frame). If I do it again, I probably will buy the chipped (but not broken) “B” cells in order to get more watts for the dollar. I all but copied this project:

This solar panel should produce 63 watts, i.e. 18 volts x 3.5 amps

solar cells sell for between $ 10 and $ 6 per watt. The price depends on quanity. to get the price down to %6, you will have to install enough for a city, maybe a $ 100,000,000 price tag. A house is about $ 8 and a small kit is $ 10.
