Solar Power: Why We Have To Believe In Allah:? (4/29/2012)

in Solar Power

Finally posted this here! Cheers!

What I know about our reality is based from tv documentaries that I’ve watched during my 15 years of existence in our current space time. Einstein said that our reality is in fact a merge between space time–hence, space time. As space is distorted, moved, etc, so is time. It is also known that our universe is constantly expanding at the speed of light every moment. Time is different at different points on the fabric of space based on the distortion of space time caused by a certain mass, mostly stars, planets, black holes. All laws of our universe are indigenous to only our universe, and since we can only hypothesize the existence of other universes, we can only hypothesize that different universes have different laws that are pertinent to that specific universe. Since universe is expanding, it can either keep on expanding indefinitely or expand and contract and expand and repeat infinitely. And that is what proves God’s existence: infinity. I don’t have the reserves of brain power left or time to explain how the concept of infinity is what causes most problems in our world, including the use of drugs, alcohol, etc to avoid depressing issues, and infinity is in the bottom of it. If God doesn’t exist, then we, as humans, are composed of a few trillion atoms, our planet is composed of a few trillionx10to the 24 power atoms, our solar system of 9 planets, our galaxy of anywhere from millions to billions of solar systems, our universe of trillions of gazillions of galaxies, and if other universes exist, our universe could just be a bubble in an ocean. Or, it could be that there is even a higher set of system that ranges into infinity, and even our atoms’ quarks can be broken down. We don’t know why laws in our universe are the way they are–and the only answer lies with particles that are so small that we haven’t considered of their possibilities. If all humans could realize and absorb the extent of our insignificance, there would be no doubt of God’s existence, for there is too much order defined in this reality. And if after absorbing the epiphany, the belief in God wasn’t to be, the person would kill himself because no matter how much we progress, we can never catch up to infinity.

Yes !!!

We humans can’t help ourselves, let alone our planet which is a small part in our solar system, and our solar system itself seems so insignificant when compared to our milky way and the whole universe (Subhanallah) !

We are not worthy of comparison to anything, when one looks at the universe, our insignificant role, yet we humans are amazing creatures, there are wonders in our human bodies, they way we think n act. Isn’t this all so amazing, awesome, Subhanallah !!

There clearly has to be a Creator, Sustainer who manages this whole universe, someone who is incredible and more powerful in terms of creation n destruction. How ungrateful are some, when they deny the existence of their creator, as it is clearly due to His mercy that we exists.

A Good Post, Jazzak Allahu Khiren :)

You propose an excellent question – and Saya’s response, though I disagree, was equally excellent and eloquent.

However… The science you recount is old and improved upon. Not that I understand the new stuff to anything more than a cursory degree, but I’ll do my best to express what I understand. We no longer believe the universe ends in a big ‘crunch’. This is because discovered something shocking – all the galaxies that are moving away from each other are accelerating. Logic would say they’d get slower over time, but they’re actually getting faster! Secondly, we do not believe that the mass of the universe is enough to create a ‘crunch’ effect anymore.

This means that the universe will keep on going, eventually either tearing itself apart or running out of energy and just becoming a cold and empty void.

Now, as you say, us humans are insignificant in comparison to the universe, despite being beautiful, seemingly designed creatures. In fact, everything seems designed, does it not? Things are even and beautiful, everything works in harmony. This almost cries out for a creator! Yet, I do not see such a thing necessary.

I cannot explain properly the beginning of life. That is a mystery we have yet to solve with a million possible answers. However, the answer to how life got to -this- point is answered through evolution.

All evolution is, is a theory that says that species adapt to their environment. When a species enters a new environment, it will undergo a minor adaption. This adaption becomes part of its gene code, and when it has a child, that child will carry on the adaption. This means, over the course of millions of years, so many adaptions will occur that the species that began all those years ago will be completely different to the one millions of years later. It’s a stacking affect of adaptions.

Now, for life, adaptions come in many shapes and sizes… We change in color, to blend in or to reflect sun. An example is that there were a species of moths living in trees in Europe. A factory was built near it, and these black moths who blended in perfectly with the trees, suddenly found their trees covered in white ash! This means they no longer blended in and were perfect targets for predators. But, occasionally, mutant moths who were white would be born, and those would survive because they were blended in. They bred and over time, there were only white moths. Sublime, beautiful, harmonious and utterly without a creator.

While the creator theory is easy – and beautiful in its own way – it is not the only theory, and not the only beautiful one in my opinion. This creates, for me, reasonable room for doubt in God, which is the opposite of blind faith. And if we can find reason for life to be so sublime without a creator, why can’t we find one for the universe itself?

Keep in mind – in our oh-so beautiful and massive universe, random happens. Against the odds happens. Our existence is against the odds, the universe is against the odds, but creator or not, it’s here.
