I live in New Jersey Zone 7. The grass I have is a nice green but only in certain spots and not ask dark as I want it? I’m already watering it and added Scotts Fertilizer.

There are two products you will need to buy. The first is A fertilizer made by Viagro. Comes in a purple bag, and is sold at home depot for about $ 20. ( lowes doesn’t have it !! ). Get a 40 lbs bag of this fertilizer. The second is a product called Ironite. Buy a large 20 lbs bag. The purple bag will help kick start your lawn. The Ironite will turn your grass a dark green color. This will immediately make your lawn look better than your neighbors. The negatives of course are your grass will get really thick and grow very fast. You might have to mow twice a week to keep your lawn under control. If you want to slow down its growth, Bag you grass clippings and don’t recycle them into your yard. This will help remove some of the nutrients from your lawn and slow down its growth.
