We havenot used our solar resources……….yetMUCH MUCH MORE CAN BE DONE TO USE THE ENERGY OF THE SUN…………to heat our homes and help in farming too!

Hello.
Well, solar panels are a very useful tool in cutting a big chunk from the carbon footprint. However, it is not the only one.
Solar panels are expensive,high-maintenance,low efficiency and low result devices.
They surely aren’t enough to power the huge industrial sector and the massive infrastructure of health care and education. Not to mention the commercial sector as well.
But what i think is that it will be very much useful in the logistics of the future.Like Solar powered Cargo ships, which are very much practical and are also being designed in many countries.
Solar power will also revolutionize the common house hold. As it will effectively help a consumer to power his/her apartment or house from solar panels.
And i can’t wait to sit in a airplane using solar panels on its wings to power itself for more than 72 hours of un-interrupted flight. Its quite practical and a test flight of such an aircraft has been committed recently this year.
These are all practical and logical uses of solar panels, according to me.I’ll appreciate any difference of opinion.
But what i think is that the only solution for clean energy for industries and finance is by building safe nuclear power plants and planting wind turbines.
But soar panels are also very sufficient for reducing carbon footprint as well.GOD BLESS

The current batch of solar powered aircraft carry little more then themselves unless you include the camera. No pilot. No passengers. As far as replacing current power sources they won’t. Solar could do little more the reduce the amount of power from other sources need on hot sunny days. When the sun goes down so does the solar power.

Virtually not at all. I do not know the exact amount produced in the United States, but I know it is very small compared to fossil fuels. The real problem that no one is looking at is is plastics. Look around you. What are you going to replace all that with?

Secondarily solar panels depend on material that is very rare and not easily mined and much of it in hostile jurisdictions.

Nuclear is not much of an answer either. The dangers, environmental considerations, costs and government red tape is almost insurmountable. China is moving to remove the latter, but there are still the first three.

You ought to see if you can see collapse, which is likely the most pessimistic thing you will view. It is also the most truthful.

Solar panels, and other non-fossil fuel sources of energy, are small and variable sources of electricity. Nowadays, we use mostly very large powerplants and transport fuel to them. In the future, we will have many small and variable power sources. We will need a much better electrical grid to deal with more and more variable sources.

Well, to be frank Solar Energy is one of the currently abundant and limitless energy in the planet. I’m pretty sure you will know that fossil fuels would not last very long in this planet. Apart from that Solar Energy does not provide any negative effects to the environment.

If you really need more convincing on how solar panels will change our dependency on the current energy source we are using. Take a look at this article:

It has the facts you need to know about solar energy.
