Awesome idea! The voltage is the only thing you will need to match. You will want to go the same voltage as the wall charger or slightly higher voltage than the battery voltage.( like only 0.5 volts more)
The current will determine how fast the phone will charge. If you match it to the current of the wall charger the size will be optimum.
