Solar Turbines: Which Side Do You Agree With The Most And Why? (6/30/2012)

in Solar Turbines

Throughout his presidential campaign, and since taking office in January 2009, President Barack Obama has pushed forward his agenda to free America from dependency on foreign oil. A growth of green jobs is predicted in the coming years as new technologies, such as solar power and clean coal, are pursued and expanded. Meanwhile, many people and opposing politicians believe this is an unnecessary and expensive push. They state we could just continue drilling off the Gulf Coast, Alaska, and other areas within our country that are currently not being explored.

The real goal should be freedom from dependency on oil. Period. It shouldn’t matter whether it’s foreign or domestic. Oil is a non-renewable resource, it’s toxic when spilled, and it releases harmful pollutants when it’s burned. The “Drill, baby, drill” attitude shows an appalling disregard for the facts.

I don’t know why I even bother when the only other people who visit this category are oil company lobbyists.
