I have always wanted to install solar panels on the roof top but I was just wondering why companies or at homes here don’t have them.. besides that solar panels are expensive. Wouldn’t it be more efficient in the long run?

The state of New York offers tax breaks and incentives if you install solar panels. When I lived there I never saw homes with them, I believe I saw one business with them. Many people don’t care to change though. NY is so expensive to live in that even thinking of investing in solar panels is crazy. Is aw work smaller first and save money. Get energy efficient windows and appliances. Save the receipts because NY will give you your money back for those purchases.
You can also make your own indoor compost bin with worms this way wasting less food and garbage bags, and if you garden its super beneficial. Once you start saving money from that then you might have enough for the panels.
A lot of buildings have them. Kind of hard to see on top of tall buildings.
Hmmm, you could build a complete roof over NYC, of solar panels, and that wouldn’t be enough
Solar electric can cost 30 to 40 thousand dollars to install.
