I can’t give you an exact dollar figure, but it is expensive. Solar panels are just the first item in a solar powered home. Solar panels produce direct current. This DC must be stored in large batteries and converted to 60 cycle (Hertz) Alternating Current (AC) at 240 volts and 120 volts. Those are the main components of a solar powered electrical system used to power a home.

2. Battery storage system
3. 60 Hz AC converter
4. A list of peripheral devices needed to control the system.

In the ball park $ 500 per 100 watt Monocrystalline panels
If you buy one at a time.
Batteries 100 amp hour around $ 200 each.
1000 watt inverter 12vdc to 120 vac $ 120
If you shop around and do the install your self it is not bad.

I put my system to gather my self I only have 900 watts of panels. But I add on each year batteries and panels.
