Solar Products: Need Help With Solar Lights? (8/17/2012)

in Solar Products

I want to put solar lights in my flower beds, but my flower beds stay in the shade constantly. Can anyone suggest and solar lights that you can attach a solar grid in a sunny location and keep the solar lights in a dark, shaded place?

Sure, you can find anything if you want to pay for it. Here’s some great lights but a wee bit expensive (hint, if you are a Costco member the on-line site has a four pack for just a little more) http://www.lampsplus.com/products/Fusion-Solar-Powered-LED-Garden-Lights__52499.html these are great because instead of the lonely LED light that you can barely see, they have 15.
Also, I bought these flood solar lights and am very happy with them. (Still a little pricey) http://www.frontgate.com/jump.jsp?item=20270&maincatcode=1&subcatcode=null&itemID=7679&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C145%2C1824&iProductID=7679 I would suggest Amazon and the like for finding what you’re looking for. they are out there.

Easy.

Put your solar collector(s) in that sunny spot. Purchase an extension cable/cord (same size as your systems) and check to make sure the connectors are water proof and interchangeable. This cable/cord is fairly inexpensive and can be found virtually anywhere they sell the collector(s). Run it back to your light units and you have solved the issue. These cables/cords can be buried in order to avoid any other concerns that may arise.
